My eyes don see shege because of PVC [PERMANENT VOTER'S CARD]

It was just few days to the end of the PVC registration, which invariably meant I had to finally drag myself to INEC office for the last phase of my PVC registration.

I arrived early and I was given a number tag, "156". It's quite unorthodox that people would number from hundred instead of one, but I felt government bodies have always been unorthodox in certain occasions. 😂

So I felt a bit relieved because it was just 9am, and hundred people couldn't have possibly left their houses that early— na PVC, no be money dem dae share, 😂 so I thought.

Besides, even though my number was "156", there were just few people waiting outside— roughly fifty.

Then I heard a lady yell at the man who stood at the security post, "oooh... oga number one to forty-five have taken too long inside."

I fainted once, in my mother's arms when I was eight. I'm a grown man now, and I wasn't prepared to faint as a result of shock— I had to take a seat and wait my turn in silent frustration.

Then, it dawned on me that I was indeed number one hunnnnddrreeedd annddd fifty-six. 😩

I arrived there few minutes to 9am, and because registration would end in few days, I couldn't leave until I was done.

I finished registration by 5:43pm, hungry and tired but fulfilled. Only to find out the next morning that...

INEC HAD EXTENDED CONTINOUS VOTER REGISTRATION [CVR] TO JUNE 30.

If I'd known it would be extended I would have gone home and come back the next day.

But I done do am, I done do am😂
