We use to think it's easy to leave home when you have money...

Tayo! Tayo!! Lol It's really lovely to have you on iTell stories and everything beautiful.

I think we became friends in 2018 or late 2017, can't quite remember.

Though one thing I remember clearly is that you have a really nice voice and whenever your name comes to my mind, it's your voice I hear in my head๐Ÿ˜…

1. So tell us, aside singing, what else do you do?

Okay... Aside singing, I am into marketing. I'm a marketer currently, yeah? And yeah! That's basically much of what I do aside singing.

Marketing, work related. It's not singing, Lol. I'm a marketer and that's my job.

2. You're from the southern part of Nigerian but your name is Tayo, which is Yoruba. How is that?

Lol. Yes, I'm from the southern part of Nigeria and my name is Tayo...

But  that's because my mom is Yoruba, my mother is from Ondo state and my dad is from Akwa Ibom which makes it... you know, mixed and all of that. So yeah, that's where the name Tayo comes from.

3. I learned you recently completed a diploma program, what was your course of study?

Yep, I just completed my diploma program on computer science. I studied computer science.

4. Was that the course you actually wanted to study?

Mchew! I actually wanted to do Chemical engineering, it was just... I don't know how to say it.

You know how they say when life throws lemon at you, you make lemonade and all that... That's kinda of what happened.

Something came up that made me change my mind and I just went for computer science and I really don't regret it.

I don't regret it.

5. Have you recorded any track yet? If no, do you have plans to.

watch cover by Tayo Fred

haven't recorded any track yet. I have plans to do so. I have plans, great plans... but right now, I haven't recorded any track yet.

6. What's your favourite song?

Oh boy! My favourite song? Lol. It's really tough to decide a favourite song, yeah. It's very very tough to decide a favourite song.

Hah! I would have to think really hard on that one... Do I? Omoh...

So yeah. After much thinking and all, I've decided that my favourite song is, "Greatest love of all" by Whitney Houston.

I think I liked that song from when I was really little, I still do. Cause I've always liked the song, the rhythm... everything about the song is amazing. It's just very very inspirational and all... I just love it cause I love talking to myself a lot. I like to tell myself what I'm worth, remind myself with affirmations. Yeah, so that song gives a lot of that.

So I think that's my favourite song.

7. I guess you're working now, huh? How does it feel like? Independence.

Yep, I'm working now. Like I said, I'm into marketing and... omoh ๐Ÿ˜‚ Independence is not play, like having to not depend on your parents anymore because you're working...

We use to think it's easy to just separate from home when you have money and all but it's not easy I'm telling you. You want to do this one, that one, before you know it, your money has finished. Then you have to make plans for yourself, for your future and all of that, hah! Abeg, independence is not even a joke. It's tough but... It's good. It's a good thing. It's a good form of growth actually.

8. Lastly, a random question, Is there anything you fear most about life?

Hmm! The thing I fear most about life... Ahh! I'm afraid of when I eventually get successful.

I want to be successful, don't get me wrong but... there's this thing that comes with success. I think it has the ability to change your person and most times, I'm always scared of that happening to me. You understand.

To change a person, to change who they are and you just want to be more successful.

You just want to do whatever it takes to get to a particular level, when you get to that level, then you want to get to a higher level at all cost and you just want to always... beat it.

And it takes a lot, so... success is like scary, and it's almost something I fear, a lot.

So... That's it!

Wow... Tayo It's been a wonderful evening, thank you.

It was really nice to have you here, and personally it's been quite a long time both of us had a long conversation like this๐Ÿ˜… 2018 feels like ten years ago.

Lol. Yeah! Thank you Nabas for having me ❤️
