No one will wait for you.

In no particular order, I hereby vent my thoughts; the happy, the sad and the beautiful.

The Happy:
My visit to the basketball court on Monday made me realize there are so many tall people in this world, also very short people. I am neither of the two.

The Un-happy But Not Sad:
In my first year, I had a crush on one of my course mates, who apparently, is my friend.

In my second year, she got married.

For some reason, I wasn't aware of the wedding till my third year. After I found out, I didn't know what to feel— hurt for a love that never was? Tsk. It made me realize how passive life can be; things and people never stay the same.
My friend, Jesse often says, "No one is coming for you", in other words "No one is coming to save you".

But then, I've also realized "No one will wait for you either..."

The Sad:
I write about things that disturb me, that plague my mind, and things that make me happy— but sometimes I feel I'm letting the world into my life, which is bad. My mom had once asked me to take down a certain post, "It's too much information for public consumption", she had said.

I do not know any other way to air my heart.

Writing is the only way I can meet with the ocean and not drown.

The Beautiful:
Meet Ikanke-Abasi.

Lately, my conversations with Ikanke has been a form of healing and therapy for me. If I have the the time, I'll convert our chats to a journal— someday.

The Un-whatever I'm Feeling Right Now:
I miss family. I miss family— I miss what would have become of my family if things had turned out different. Alas, I can't say much, cause that would be Too Much Information (TMI) for public consumption.

The Beautiful, The Beautiful, The Beautiful:
Colours, Imo, Kanky, Aity, Feel, Holly— never mind, these are just given names of people I have crossed paths with in the past years and months.

Again, I'm withholding... everything seems passive. It's like literally loving and holding your breath at the same time.

The Happy, The Sad, The Beautiful, The End:
I watched the movie, Chevalier (2023), it's based on the life story of Joseph Bologne.

In the closing notes of the movie, it was stated that The French Government stopped people, particularly the black community from playing his music, not because it sounded bad.

On the contrary, his music was and is excellent.

They stopped the black community because of the effect it had on their minds— the enslaved. His music inspired hope, liberty and freedom— the French Government didn't want that, as they still considered blacks nothing but slaves at the time.

From the cover art, you can see Bologne was black. A black man playing good music in a white community was enough to set France ablaze.

Interestingly, Bologne's Music was classical and had no lyrics, just instrumentals.

Music affects the mind. Music is beautiful. Music is spiritual.
